Cowboy up kids.............

I know this doesn't excite a lot of my dear friends, relatives and sweet readers BUT............. we are going to the
PBR

I am so excited I can hardly stand it.............................the PBR............. real honest to God bull riders, wearing chaps, spurs, cool cowboy hats and riding the hugest bulls you have ever seen and hopefully for 8 seconds.

I think in my other life I was in a western with the cast of Lonesome Dove, except I was always able to take a shower. Living during that era would be like dry camping forever.........ickkkkkkk no shower. When I was a kid my hero, honest to God, was Hopalong Cassidy, trust me I saw everyone of his hokey movies but he was he just was so kind and quite handsome. When we were in Oklahoma City at the cowboy heritage museum I picked up a few momentos of "Hoppy's"......this is one of them, remember this was written in the 50's.

Hopalong Cassidy's 'Creed for American Boys and Girls'

1.The highest badge of honor a person can wear is honesty. Be mindful at all times.
2.Your parents are the best friends you have. Listen to them and obey their instructions.
3.If you want to be respected, you must respect others. Show good manners in every way.
4.Only through hard work and study can you succeed. Don't be lazy.
5.Your good deeds always come to light. So don't boast or be a show off.
6.If you waste time or money today, you will regret it tomorrow. Practice thrift in all ways.
7.Many animals are good and loyal companions. Be friendly and kind to them.
8.A strong, healthy body is a precious gift. Be neat and clean.
9.Our country's laws are made for your protection. Observe them carefully.
10.Children in many foreign lands are less fortunate than you. Be glad and proud you are an American"

this is Hoppy and his faithful horse Topper

Anyway................ must go dust off my boots...........get the camera ready, so stay tuna'd

That's still a good creed to follow.

I am a bit surprised that Hopalong Cassidy was your hero, but I think it's kind of cool, too.
