the gentleman handling the three kites in this particular photo, he is Ray Bothel, from Bristish Columbia, Canada and is 84 years old.  Been doing this for thirty some years I understand and hold the world record of flying kites for as long as 14 hours.  I think the record was set here in Long Beach, WA.  Anyway the man is just an amazing crusty old kite flyer.

Look what appeared

beautiful, just caught dungeness crabs.  So now we have one day off and I foresee a beautiful fresh crab salad for lunch!!
They call these beauties  dungies, I call them super, duper scrumptious.

My Vitamin SEA!!!

You know how it is when you start something new and in an area where you have never been before.  It can be overwhelming.  Well it can be to me.  I'm behind on everything laundry  and photo posting mainly.   Shame on me I'll try to do better. 

Let me tell you there is so much to do, things to see, seafood to eat, places to go on hikes, kayak trips to take.  Oh and we work a few hours a week also.

If you have never been to this area of the country well you are missing a bunch.  The Pacific NorthWest is just beautiful.  Now just think how much I'll rave when it hasn't rained nearly everyday.    This is a terrific site for the area http://www.funbeach.com/

My favorite pup!!!

Buddy was tragically taken from my sisters family yesterday and as my niece stated getting over this very sad  loss will take sometime. But the memories of this sweet pup will be forever in our hearts.
I love your scruffy sweet face.  You'll be missed Bud man!!
