Statement Bracelet, Southwest Design Accented by a Larimar Stone With Blue and Gold Seed Beads Peyote Beaded Bracelet, OOAK Beadwoven Cuff

A little about this beautiful stone....................

Larimar is a rare blue Pectolite that can only be found from the Dominican Republic. Also known as the Dolphin Stone, this beautiful turquoise blue-ish colored mineral is loved for its water-like appearance so characteristic of the Caribbean. Blue Pectolite is said to bring clarity and peace to its user, and remove self imposed blockages.

We're always striving to improve and plan to expand our collection very soon - so stay tuned. Have fun shopping our amazing beaded jewelry pieces.

This One of a Kind design shows the Larimar stone in the center of this Southwest Beaded Cuff. A one of a kind that will never be duplicated.
Attached is a tear drop shaped Larimar stone in blue hues that depict the Caribbean waters of the Dominican Republic; its origin.

Something of a southwest influence and plenty of interest to look at in this design. A touch of the Native American influence as well. A whole lot of style and statement here.

This piece is chic simplicity, with bold colors in bare designs are the perfect accessories to your minimal style.

Sizing..............this piece measures 7" by 1 1/4"

Finished off with a simple gold plated toggle closure to compliment the bracelet

My collection is handcrafted so please allow for slight variations in items.

Beadwoven Peyote Beaded Bracelet Delica Beads of Copper, Topaz and a splash of white to Accent the Cubic Zirconia, One of a Kind

Whether you're buying it for yourself or to surprise that special someone, this bracelet is certain to take center stage. It's perfect for both everyday wear and for special occasions.

This peyote beaded bracelet is not an original design of mine. I do design many pieces, however, this piece I replicated from a North American Indian museum piece. While visiting a museum in Northern California I saw this particular belt. I believe they said the piece on exhibit was over 200 years old. I sketched the design, brought the idea home and replicated it from my drawing. I added some accents to enhance the beads.

Transform your jeans and tee shirt to a statement outfit

Sizing..............this piece measures 7" by 1 3/8"

Finished off with a simple copper plated closure to compliment the bracelet

For custom items please provide your wrist measurement and whether you prefer a loose or tight fit.

Been a very long time

I really should be ashamed of myself.  But then many of you know life does get in the way of things.

We were lucky enough to spend the summer in the Santa Ynez Valley.  We left there in November, spent some time with family friends and holiday celebrating.

All the while mind you Mr Beader  has been creating like crazy.  The man amazes me sometimes.  But his creations are lovely.

So that is why I'm back I need to show you what he has done lately.

His shop on Etsy is full and getting fuller as I type.  Go look here and you'll see what I am talking about.

And for more pieces from Mr Beader

I may take some heat about this subject

But people have to know that Etsy is a site for artisans and crafters.

What Etsy is not is a place for reproduced cheap crap not produced by artisans  and crafters.
Most of this junk is produced in the area of the Pacific Rim, Southeast Asia etc.  You get the picture.

A gal I know sells on Etsy and has some of the most magnificent statement necklaces.  This woman puts hours of labor and many dollars invested in her craft.  Now you go poking around Etsy looking for something jazzy to wear to your friends wedding next month.  Low and behold you find my friends necklace when putting statement necklace in the search bar.  It's perfect the colors are what she wants and the size is also.  oh and the price $100 - yikes!!  I would get a lot of wear with this piece so it would be a good investment.  BUT on the same page of the search are many others.  So said buyer thinks well I'll just look at a couple more in my color choice.  Guess what she finds you got it, a necklace almost exactly like the $100 piece.  The stones were arranged a bit different but it was the very same colors and WAIT FOR IT................only $20.  Oh it's from some place in China and the owner of the shop is Lisa something.  So wants a gal to do.  She pokes around the less expensive shop, sees that there are pages and pages of similar items.  Oh and earrings to match.  Oh and they have only been open for a few months.  Gosh how in the world can this gal make all these pieces.

Something has to be done.  This is so unfair to the artist.  But I will say if Etsy cannot figure it out then I certainly can't.  They have teams of attorneys and smart folks working there.  Here's where they went wrong they allowed some of these shops to sign up and sell.  How can you blame the shopper,  She's looking for a bargain in this economy.

OK here is when I say I am not faulting Etsy completely but this is Etsy's mission statement and to me it's a bit vague.

We sell on Etsy but we are not trying to make a living on Etsy or even supplement our income.  We do it because it's fun. Oh and Mr Beader won't stop beading.    Not all sellers on Etsy are like us obviously.

Just try and remember to buy from an artisan or crafter on Etsy

Etsy is the marketplace we make together.

Our mission is to reimagine commerce in ways that build a more fulfilling and lasting world.

  • We are a mindful, transparent, and humane business.
  • We plan and build for the long term.
  • We value craftsmanship in all we make.
  • We believe fun should be part of everything we do.
  • We keep it real, always.
