on Buddy......think the olde guy (cat) is feeling a lot better. He is eating his new food however with a lot of coaxing. Mixing old with new makes it a bit easier. Doesn't have to go back for tests till the end of August that should make him happy just hearing that.
I took this shot of a stray cat in town the other day. This old school desk was leaning on the side of a building I stopped to look at it and this cat came from nowhere and jumped up to pose. The look on his face says............stay back!!!

Good thoughts..please
for our sweet cat Buddy.............he has had some health issues lately along with some probing tests. He is not quite himself and also not eating like he should. Have y'all ever tried to give medicine to a cat, now complicate that by giving it to Buddy......he is not the most cooperative patient.
So stay tuna'd and keep Buddy, Mr Doodles and myself in your prayers for the time being.

But Mr Doodles thinks it's pretty cool I would put up his photos on my blog.

Alternatives
Definition............a choice limited to one of two or more possibilities, as of things, propositions, or courses of action, the selection of which precludes any other possibility: You have the alternative of riding or walking.
We, the United States, have many more then two alternatives, what I don't quite understand is why the heck has it taken $5 a gallon gas to get the population all wired up.
Sister posted this on her blog
A Texas gentleman, who has been an oil man all his life, by the name of T. Boone Pickens has come up with this plan I'm not saying his ideas are to end all but they are worth looking into.
Another interesting fact I learned the other day is that where we are sitting in South West Colorado, there is a ton of oil, actually the word is more than any they could bring up in the Middle East. But as you probably have guessed not many folks are wanting the drilling to go on here. I myself have mixed emotions.
So maybe we should keep an eye on what Mr Pickens is saying. I sure am not happy when I drive up to a gas pump. And because I have a new diesel powered truck I cannot do a conversion as it negates the extended warranty.
Stay tuna'd and keep an eye on Mr Pickens message.

Toes are important
and I'm sure you are saying WTH is this female talking about.???
I'm a klutz let's face it, well some of y'all don't know that but I'm telling ya now I am a KLUTZ!!! Every summer, I mean no matter where I am, every dang summer I break a toe. One summer I broke two, one at the beginning and one at the end of the summer.
Well I did it AGAIN the other day. We decided to have a lazy day after three days of Rodeo'ing. I saw some flowers that I wanted to take some photo's of so I donned my good sandals, not my Fitflops and went off for a walk in the meadow. Weeeeeeeeeeelll a tree branch got in my way sorta, I went one way and my big foot went the other. I have never seen a big toe bend quite like that. The only good part about this is that I did this after I wore my cowboy boots. I coulda never, no never, ever been able to squeeze my broken toe into my boots. A boken big toe seems to be a tad more painful than the other times I have broken some smaller appendages. But this too shall pass and heal...............stay tuna'd summer ain't over yet!!!

Wandering about.............again
I love doing this.......just me and my little camera. I had to go to town for errands and stopped along the way when I saw something of interest. Hey there's a lot around here I find of interest - so bear with me.
A pretty little wildflower sitting at the edge of the Gunnison River.
Reflection of my favorite mountain in the area.........that's the widest spot of the Gunnison River.

This is just common sense folks
Y'all know we got a BIG TRUCK to tow our RV right? And Louie, I call the truck, it is what I call a definite testosterone magnet......men are drawn to this truck. Well Mr Doodles is constantly asked about our fuel mileage while towing, even before the prices skyrocketed.
Here's his answer........"If y'all drive below 65 mph you're gonna improve your mileage." Do ya know what their answer usually is "Oh my I don't know if I wanna do that". We see ALL the time RV's whipping by at probably 70 - 80 mph while we are scooting down the road.
Now listen to this OK..........we get, because we watch our speed, an average of 14 miles per gallon in this Big A** truck and yes we use diesel $$$ fuel. Of course this is on flat hiways not while climbing thru mountains. When Mr Doodles tells people this they look at him with quite a skeptical eye and to be honest I don't know if they believe him.
So do we honestly need the government to tell us to slow down?..........come on!!! Some of us old enough know the speed limit has been adjusted years ago during a similar situation of fuel shortage.
Slow down people it just may mean an extra penny or two in your pocket.
Plus you can read my seester's blog for lot's of ideas for saving fuel...........her Tuesdays with Moon is great!!!

Gone fishing...........
this is a photo of a rainbow trout..........NOT the two rainbow trout I caught in the Gunnison River but a beauty none the less. We got up early Sunday morning with rods a ready, lotsa lures, snacks and drinks. What a spectacular day!!! I have only fished in salt water. Being married to a boat Captain and having lived in the Florida Keys we did a lot of fishing. And my sweet Captain husband always told me I had an excellent feel for fishing.....how sweet is that.
We started our day on the lake, Blue Mesa, and had zip luck. We had noticed a spot we both thought would be good which was where the Gunnison River flows into Blue Mesa Lake. Called Copper Creek..........pretty, very pretty setting. Look at that photo who could resist just sitting on the bank was enough for me.
We had a bite to eat and decided to put our poles in the river.
Sweet Captain Doodles could hear me holler a mile away........"hurry come quick, ya gotta see this!!! ". I caught my first Rainbow...........I was so excited - we didn't get a snap. Didn't keep the baby either, wasn't all that big and wanted it to grow up to be a big boy. Spent another hour or so casting I got another catch and put him back too. I am sorry to say Captain Doodles never got a hookup ..........but he will another day...........cause he's a lot better than I am................ trust me.
