On the move again

This move will take us to the area of Santa Barbara.  Beautiful wine country and near the ocean.  And I know this is kinda odd to mention but in the area they grow some of the best strawberries known to mankind.

What is quite special is that hopefully we shall be at this location awhile. And working with some of the nicest people we have ever worked with.  Talk about a bonus.  Not everyone can be that fortunate.

I wrote here how this all startedIn fact I wrote a lot about our impending adventure of trying to get out of the  "blue tarp" state.

We will be sharing a lot of local information and photos of the area so ...................

A new annoyance

I have a new annoyance.  You know the kind of thing that drives ya crazy but you can deal with.  I have a colic at the crown of my head.

I have had it about a year or so.  Thinking I could handle this I decided to let my hair grow out a bit.  Thinking the longer locks would tame the annoying colic.........NOT dang it!!

So yesterday I got my hair cut short AGAIN..............the hell with the colic.  I'll invest in a lot of product.  My hair and temperament handles shorter hair better most days.  Well except for figuring out how to tame the colic.

I color my hair only because  I was brought into this world with fine hair  I think that's why hair color was invented for women like me.  But can I say the oddest thing happened when I reached my late 50's maybe early 60' hair developed a curl.  Well not really a curl more like a bend.  Some hairdressers think I have the remnants of an old perm.  I haven't had a perm in lord knows when.  But the slight bend is there and can be helpful in someways however not for this blasted colic.

If you have a solution or a trick let me know I would be quite grateful.

Back to the task at hand

I'm going thru all of these CD's that contain photos from the last ten years.  What a fun and boring job.  Fun in the case where it jogs your memory of favorite people, places or things.  I'm gonna refer you to this post so as not to repeat myself.
But while browsing thru some of these CD's I came upon this photo.  It had a tag that it was taken  in Canada.  I am thinking it was when we first got on the road with our RV and ended up traveling the year and driving 27, 000 miles.  What a trip and tons of memories especially visiting with dear friends in Canada.

Just sorry I didn't save this in a larger format.

Ya never know I could find more favorites - so......................................

Well dang it.................

after the dreaded final trip to the dentist I got a birthday gift...............a stomach bug.  Shoot man three days flat on my butt.  And then a couple a days of rather shaky moments of what to eat and don't go too far from the loo

OK that's over now on to the important stuff.  First off it's St Patrick's Day my first thought was corned beef and cabbage............eeewwww not so much after the past week of stomach rumblings.  Beef stew!!  Perfect for the outside temps of 90 - 95 degrees here in the Southwest.  But hey it's St Patrick's Day.

OK we'll get that out of the way and move on to the real projects at hand.

We will be leaving this area that we have become so fond of and going to California.  Precisely Buellton which is on the Santa Ynez River in the Santa Ynez Valley, and in 2004 was one of the fastest-growing towns in central Santa Barbara County. It is a common stop for travelers on U.S. Highway 101, being the first town north of Santa Barbara after the scenic and undeveloped stretch of about 25 miles (40 km) through the Gaviota coast.    Did I mention this is yummy wine country.  Oh my the many vineyards and the best area for growing strawberries you have ever tasted.

I digress it's seems it always goes to food.  But there are some pretty tasty eateries in that area.  And some of the best folks ever.

Needless to say.....................

Much needed rain........

taking place in the Golden State of California.  And I am thrilled because we will be traveling there in a few weeks and along the way, if the sun is shinning, there will be wildflowers popping up along our journey.  Norm will hear me pleading.............."Oh wait stop here". I will share any photos I may get along the way.
